Venda music to the world!

Beitbridge-based multi-award-winning musician Bhadilah, real name Gift Lihlohonolo Ndlovu, has struck gold as his song Thoma Ngane Murena has afforded him a distribution deal with an American company called VerseOne Distribution.

VerseOne Distribution works with record labels and independent artistes to distribute their music to 250 plus digital stores and collects all royalties for them.

After turning to God with the release of Thoma Ngane Murena which loosely translates to Start with Me Lord, in 2022, it seems God has heard Bhadilah’s prayers as he has blessed him with the lucrative-rare deal.

“Thoma Ngane Murena is a Gospel Amapiano/House track that I released in 2022 and since then, it has gained popularity in Beitbridge and beyond.

“The song proves that God is there and he listened to my prayers as I have prayed to Him to start with me, whenever he blesses his flock.

“In answering my prayers, an American music distribution company called VerseOne Distribution contacted me after hearing Thoma Ngane Murena. They made a proposal to distribute the track to digital stores globally.

“I signed the contract with them and the track started selling on digital stores on 21February. This is a milestone achievement for me as my music is now able to reach and impress people in international spaces,” said Bhadilah.

Bhadilah shot to fame in 2013 with the album “African Child” which he did while doing his Advanced level studies at JZ Moyo High School in Matabeleland South Province.

In his quest to start his musical journey, he used his school pocket money to fund the recording of his debut album.

Bhadilah is the first if not the only artiste from Beitbridge to be nominated for the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (RoilBAA).

In 2019, Bhadilah was voted the Best Artiste in the Best Alternative category and outshone well established artistes like Tocky Vibes, Coco We Africa and Jazz

Prosper at the Glam awards.
