BEREAVED Chicken Inn right back Ian Nekati is set to miss their second Chibuku Super Cup derby tie against Highlanders set for Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium.

Nekati, a Warriors defender, who was on top of his game when Gamecocks beat Bulawayo City last Saturday, lost his grandmother early this week and he had to travel to Harare.

“Nekati will not be with us for our game against Highlanders. He lost his grandmother and he had to travel to Harare,” said a source within the Gamecocks camp.

The development will probably see the 2015 champions turn to the services of veteran defender Passmore Bernard.

Also set to miss the match for Chicken Inn are striker Obriel Chirinda and Shepherd Mhlanga who are both in the treatment room.

Chirinda together with left footed George Majika were on target when Joey Antipas’ men beat City 2-0.

In their first game of the cup contest, Bosso edged Bulawayo Chiefs 1-0 courtesy of a Washington Navaya diving header.
