UNHERALDED Kesani Mefibosheth Ncube (23) who goes by the name Murphy Cubic is an artiste on the rise.
The Bulawayo-based disc jockey cum music producer’s works are fast getting recognition in South Africa.
For a guy that has been on the local scene since 2014, it was about time hard work bore fruit.
It was only when he got a United Kingdom-based manager that things started moving.
“After getting a manager in 2017 more doors opened for me. The manager is based in the United Kingdom and that makes it easy for him to market my beats internationally and get more people and artistes to be interested in my music,” he said.
It was his second single My Way featuring Virti from Ghana and Juan Nemo Hozee from South Africa that really put him on the map. For that score, he was nominated for an award at local radio station Skyz Metro.
His current top hit is Starry Sky which he worked on together with DJ Qness featuring K.O and Locnville. After his breakthrough project more successful projects with big South African artistes came his way as he went on to work with MaE and Thuts Rodney on the song Vulan’ iminyango.
Then followed other projects Vertikal by Madam Theresa, Big Sky by Champas and You by Holly Rey and a new single for Zakes Bantwini that is set for release soon.
Back home he has worked with Mzoe7, Cal_Vin, Big Zulu, Mr Morf among many other artistes.
