FORMER Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Chicken Inn are on the verge of securing the signature of Northern Region Division One 2019 golden boot award winner Lister Ndlovu.

Ndlovu was in the books of police outfit Black Mambas where he scored 15 goals.

While the Gamecocks’ family was not keen to reveal the finer details of the impending deal, an impeccable source within the Black Mambas camp told B-Metro Sport that the unheralded Ndlovu was set to sign a two-year contract with the 2015 league champions.

“He (Lister) was due to travel to Bulawayo over the weekend. His paperwork is still being sorted out and the player has been offered a two-year contract,” said the source.

Chicken Inn secretary general Tawengwa Hara could neither confirm nor deny that Ndlovu was set to be their new addition.

Late last week, Chicken Inn completed the acquisition of Brian Muza from Zifa Southern Region Division One side Talen Vision.

Muza, who was a key player for Talen Vision last season, was the division’s second top goal scorer bagging 14 goals, one shy of the eventual golden boot winner, Grey Kufandada.

Last season Chicken Inn’s strike force was found wanting after the departure of Clive Augusto for South Africa and Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas believes Muza’s qualities will help in filling the void left by Augusto.

“He’s an aggressive striker, very quick and he’s got the power and those are his attributes we saw and we decided to go for him. He’s in the mould of Obriel Chirinda who’s also very quick and powerful, so it will be interesting to have two players more or less the same type of style,” said Antipas.
