A train party is one of the bashes that come once in a while and as such, exactly after eight months a train party that is meant to create lasting memories in most out-goers is set for August 10.
Dubbed the cooler box train party, the festivity will only see a limited number of 300 people attending the event because of the number of coaches.
Mduduzi Mdlongwa, who is one of the organisers of the train revelry revealed that only five coaches would be used during the party.
“We have managed to secure five coaches for the train party that will accommodate at least 300 people. Two coaches are set aside for ordinary ticket holders, while the other two is reserved for the VIP section. The middle coach will be the dance floor for everyone, where fun will be held,” said Mdlongwa.
He also gave a hint that they would be travelling towards Plumtree with Figtree being the destination for the party.
“We will be travelling towards Plumtree and the destination will be at Figtree. The train will leave at the main Railways Bulawayo Station at exactly 2pm and we expect everyone to be in the station by 1pm.
“As it is known that people have to bring their cooler boxes, once they pay the entrance fee the cooler boxes will be covered on that fee. However, we have once more planned to also accommodate those who won’t bring them as ice cold beer and whiskey will be sold on the train and at the destination,” said Mdlongwa.
The organisers also bought a cow and pigs for the braai.
With the party set to be over by 10pm, Mdlongwa said that they would be an after party at Cosmopolitan Night Club, a place where Ama Piano Kingpin Kabza De Small will be performing.
