South Africa-based Zimbabwean wheelspinner and deep house producer Nkosana Mpofu otherwise known as 8Nine Muzique in music circles has bounced back with a banger of an extended play (EP).
The four-track project is titled Cloud Nine and it will be launched and made available on all digital music stores on 10 October.
Tracks on the EP include Rainy Days, Uthando Lwethu featuring Xmile, Whispering In The Deep and Take Me featuring Kevin Makhosi.
From his base in Pretoria West, the dreadlocked DJ said: “The title of the EP Cloud Nine is inspired by the current situation in my life. I am in a state of perfect happiness.
“On the project I managed to work with fellow Zimbabwean artistes like Xmile and Kevin Makhosi because I am proud of being a Zimbo and this allows us to push the grind together here in the South of Limpopo,” said 8Nine Muzique.
The wheelspinner who moved to Mzansi in November 2018 revealed that in the past two years he has learnt the business side of the music industry and to build a strong relationship with other artistes.
Skills he has acquired include sound engineering, marketing brands and generating money through music.
During the year, 8Nine dropped a number of singles as a build-up to his EP.
He released African Pride featuring Kevin Makhosi and Viper under Culture Records, a recording stable based in Italy, which was followed by another single called Covid-19 in raising awareness of the pandemic.
His most successful single so far is Sondela featuring one of South Africa’s talented vocalists Zethu. It was released under Deep Obsession Records.
Last week, Sondela was building up on the Skyz Metro FM’s Top 20 OK Charts show, hoping to enter the charts this week. — Online.
